The purpose of this workshop is to emphasize the importance of (re)building and maintaining a high level of self-esteem. Engaging in this process will reignite the spark within you, leading to a sense of hope and renewed faith.

Books can have a significant impact on our lives. Reading books benefits both your physical and mental health, and those benefits can last a lifetime. Research shows that regular reading:

  • improves brain connectivity
  • increases your vocabulary and comprehension
  • empowers you to empathize with other people
  • aids in sleep readiness
  • reduces stress
  • lowers blood pressure and heart rate
  • fights depression symptoms
  • prevents cognitive decline as you age
  • contributes to a longer life

Likewise, writing is also a powerful tool. It feeds our soul too. It helps to express and release negative emotions, and leads to increased self-awareness.

Self-awareness is an ability to turn your attention inwards, towards the self. The benefit is that you become more aware of your feelings, beliefs and values. You deepen your understanding of yourself and ultimately make more informed decisions that align with your values and goals.

There is no wrong way to write. Its about writing anything and everything that crosses your mind – and its for your eyes only. Do not overthink, just take your time and write.

You are invited to write authentically, with truth and openness and not worrying about what anyone else will think. You can write your first draft as if no one will read it, and edit it later. You can share it if you want or simply keep it for yourself. Just write, and enjoy the process.

The ME TIME Club aims to inspire and empower participants to tap into their innate creative abilities, unlock their potential, and live a more fulfilling, happy life with all the benefits that reading and writing bring, from reducing stress levels and improving mental clarity, to promoting a sense of wellbeing.

Through this activity people can also connect with nature, engage with others, share their ideas, and learn from different perspectives, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

Ultimately, the goal is to encourage participants to unleash their creativity, imagination and embrace their true selves.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Duration: 1 hour (approximately)
When: Every Wednesday and when weather conditions allow.
Period: December to March 2024
Who: Males & females
Ages:  Young adults to seniors
Where: Lionel Perry Park

We meet weekly with a limited group of people to deliver an amazing experience. No day is the same. If you find this activity interesting, don’t hesitate to save your seat today.

We advise to attend at least 11 sessions, which will allow enough time for participants to absorb the essence of the activity and feel inspired to follow through on their own.

We are running the activity in different locations across the Gold Coast and Brisbane for the moment.
